Founder: Melanie Hamer (Wendy Hopkins Family Law Practice)
Melanie has specialised as a family lawyer since 1989 and is one of the founding partners of Wendy Hopkins Family Law Practice which started in 1996 as the first niche family law practice in Wales. Melanie’s background prior to that was in Eversheds, Cardiff. The Firm now has a team of thirteen lawyers (including a collaborative lawyer) specialising in all aspects of Family Law and Wills and Probate. Melanie’s particular expertise is in dealing with divorces and cohabitee disputes for high net worth individuals. The Firm is top ranked in The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners where Melanie is also ranked as a ‘Leading Individual’. The Firm has strong links with local charities.
Founder: Alison Hazeldine (Kilsby Williams)
Alison is a Tax Manager for Kilsby and Williams a leading firm of Chartered Accountants and tax advisers in South Wales. Following a career starting in accountancy, Alison specialised in tax and attained membership to the Institute of Taxation while working for Ernst and Young in Cardiff. After a number of years at Ernst and Young, Alison worked for KPMG before joining Kilsby and Williams in 2002. Kilsby and Williams takes pride in having a highly experienced and qualified team of professional staff offering business, accountancy and tax advice. Alison manages a portfolio of clients which comprise largely owner managed companies and directors.
Organiser: Rebecca Knight (Wendy Hopkins Family Law Practice)
Rebecca is a specialist family lawyer who has worked alongside Melanie Hamer since 2011 and is a Director at Wendy Hopkins Family Law Practice. She often assists Melanie with her cases and specialises in all areas of family law. Rebecca’s particular expertise is in dealing with divorces and financial disputes as well as matters involving children. Rebecca is a keen promoter of local charities and is the organiser of the firm’s charitable events. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her dog, Marley.
Organiser: Lucy Lloyd (Kilsby Williams)
Lucy is a Client Manager for Kilsby & Williams, working alongside Alison Hazeldine in the tax team. Qualifying as a chartered tax advisor with the firm in 2017, Lucy has a mixed portfolio of both personal and corporate clients. She has a keen interest in Research & Development tax credits and is part of Kilsby & William’s specialist R&D team. In her spare time, Lucy enjoys fitness, reading, and attempting baking recipes from one of her numerous cook books.

As a Business Development and Marketing Manager, Alice’s primary role is to build relationships and utilise channels to raise awareness about The Money Partnership. TMP are a team of down-to-earth, friendly mortgage and financial advisers who offer straightforward advice to help people make smart money moves. Alice loves keeping busy…spending time with the family, cheerleading, netball, you name it.
